No. Pingram includes built-in SMS carriers, SMTP, and voice infrastructure. The gateway plugin uses your Pingram API key — you do not need separate telecom accounts.

02 Can I use Pingram with Hermes without the gateway plugin?

Yes. If you are building a custom app rather than chatting with a running Hermes instance, use Pingram Notification Skills (github.com/pingram-io/skills) or the REST API directly. The gateway is specifically for the Hermes Agent messaging gateway workflow.

03 Does Pingram handle SMS compliance?

Yes. Pingram manages A2P 10DLC registration, opt-out keywords like STOP, and carrier routing. Your Hermes agent can send and receive SMS without managing compliance paperwork yourself.
